Gyms
Two different things live here, and it matters which one you're reading. One is a handful of rooms I've physically trained in. The other is 2,045 gyms compiled from public data, which I have mostly never set foot in. I'm not going to blur those together.

Gyms I've actually trained at, ranked
Paid my own way in, rolled, and ranked them by how they served a late-starting white belt with a knee to protect. Includes the one that didn't work and why — which happens to be the highest-rated of the lot.

The gym directory
Every BJJ gym I've been able to map, with address, hours, affiliation, ratings, kids programs and links — assembled from public sources and re-checked over time. No opinions, because I haven't been there.

Long-form gym reviews
There aren't any yet. This section is for full write-ups of a single gym — the drop-in, the room, the coach, what the curriculum actually looked like. Until I've written one, it stays empty rather than filled with something approximate.
In the meantime the real first-person material is in the ranking and in the writing, where the sessions get covered as they happen.
